Step-by-Step Crash Recovery Guide
Follow these steps in order to ensure all system dependencies are met and your graphics settings are correctly initialized.
1. Update Your System
Before tweaking game files, ensure your OS is current.
· Open your Windows Update settings.
· Click Check for updates and install any pending items.
· Restart your computer if prompted.
.
2. Prepare the Visual C++ Redistributables
The game relies on specific libraries to communicate with your hardware. If these are missing or corrupt, the client will crash instantly.
· Navigate to your Kaizen Full Client folder.
· Locate the file named tool.rar.
· Inside that archive (or the tools folder), find Visual+C+Redistributable+Complete.rar.
· Create a new folder on your desktop and extract all the contents of that .rar file into it
.
3. Install Runtime Dependencies
· Open the new folder you just created.
· Locate the file named install_all.bat.
· Right-click it and select Run as Administrator.
· Wait for the command prompt to finish installing all versions of Visual C++. This ensures the game has the "language" it needs to run.
.
4. Configure Graphic Settings (The "Safe Boot" Method)
Many crashes are caused by the game trying to launch at a resolution or API your monitor doesn't recognize yet.
· Go back to the Kaizen Full Client folder.
· Run opensetup.exe.
· Match these specific settings for your first launch:
- Graphics API: DirectX7
- Graphics Device: Primary Display Driver [Direct3D HAL]
- Resolution: 1024x768x32
· Click Apply, then click OK.
.
5. Final Launch & Customization
· Run the game client.
· Once you reach the login screen or successfully enter the game world, you can Close the game.
· Re-open opensetup.exe and change the resolution to your preferred screen size (e.g., 1920x1080).
